Recently, I've been seeing the "Netflix Documentary" trend where people are pretending to be filming a Netflix documentary - and it really made me remember of our "Netflix" setup for our online courses. Our incredible videography team truly created a setup that reflected our brand but also made sure that our videos were top of the line in the realm of online courses, I mean - just look at our setup here ;) We definitely didn't go the easy route for filming any of our courses, we wanted it to be more than what you would expect in an online course.

Why do we offer online courses?
For something that most people expect to be taught in person, we chose the online course route because we did feel that this created the most longevity for our students. We taught many in-person workshops, too, but most of the time, after the workshop day, it became difficult for students to continue learning. I surveyed them too, and with the lack of accountability and just general busy-ness of life, most of them didn't continue to learn calligraphy.
The online course format allowed us to help students from beginner to business
When we launched the online courses the first time, we were knee deep into COVID in 2020, hence in the video you can see the team in masks! It was through this time that we created our 4 pillar courses - Creative Calligraphy Course,Signature Styles, Invitation Design Bootcamp, and Calligraphy Business Kickstarter, following the path from beginner to intermediate to starting your own calligraphy business.
What sets us apart -
We knew that the online format can be quite scary to take a leap on, but that's also why we made sure that all our courses had a feedback mechanism. We didn't want it to just be a one-way info overload, we wanted to take the time to guide you, whether it's via live sessions or homework checking or a community to thrive in. And of course, we also made sure that our videos gave you the best seat in house, in the best videography possible.
