I Did Calligraphy on a Plane (and yes, it was kind of amazing)
True story: I was travelling with my little family on an airplane. I was seated in between the kids, cause sometimes they just can't stop bugging each other ๐ The plane hadn't yet taken off, but I was already exhausted from all the mom duties and truly was craving some me-time. So, I took out myย Calligraphy Travel Kitย which I had packed with my writing essentials, theย Trace the Word notepad, and also my new favoriteย Le Pen Flex brush pens. I wanted to just trace some words to calm my mind, and my son immediately saw myย slanted guide notepadย and wanted to doodle too, which was nice.ย
Whenย the airplane was about to take-off, the stewardess walked by us and gave me a thumbs up ๐๐ป - I could keep my travel kit on my lap and continue to write in peace.
Another reason to love the Calligraphy Travel kit! I can actually do calligraphy during takeoff - cause they usually don't allow the tray table to come down, but the kit allows me to have a flat surface ;) And, it's also become a fun way to bond with my kids. Somehow, they now expect that they also have art tools and surprises inside,ย so I do pack them with some easy coloring or writing sheets - so we all get a bit of creative time.ย
